Once you have entered the name you want, use the A button to go past the end of the letter slots.
You will see an egg bouncing on the screen. After 1 minute, the egg will hatch, and you will see if your Tama is a boy or girl. It will need immediate care.
Status
The status icon will allow you to see how your Tama is doing.
Condition
The first screen will display the name you entered on startup followed by the name of the current Tamagotchi character you have and the gender. The second screen shows the happiness meter followed by the stomach meter, generation number, age in Tama years, and the amount of Gotchi points you have.
Settings
This section allows you to change the settings of your Mix. Time lets you change the time. If you go to this screen, and do not confirm the new time, this is a pause function. The brightness setting allows you to change how bright the backlighting of the screen is. Setting this lower can save battery life. The sound setting allows you to turn the sound on and off. The icons background setting allows you to change the background of the icons screen.
Rice * Snack
The rice * snack menu lets you feed your Tama. The first option feeds your Tama from the refrigerator at home. As a baby you can feed your Tama a bottle as its meal. Once it turns into a toddler, it will change the option into a rice ball. The second default option is the snack. An icon of a bowl of rice in the top-right corner means that the food is considered a meal. A piece of wrapped candy in the top-right corner means that the food is considered a snack. You can purchase more meals and snacks from different Tama Depas.
The second option will send your Tama to the Tamagotchi Restaurant. Babies cannot go to the restaurant.
Toilet * Bath
The toilet * bath icon allows you to clean up your Tama. The toilet option will either clean up poop that your Tama has left on the floor, or if you catch it doing the "poop wiggle", you can run the Tama to the toilet to poop there.
The bath option will clean your Tama when it turns brown from being dirty.
Connect
The connect screen will allow you to connect Tamagotchi Mixes together, download items, and connect to the Mix website. The download options and website are not available quite yet. I will update this guide when they are.
Tamagotchi M!X
This option lets you connect two Mixes together. The options from top to bottom are play, fortune-telling, item exchange, and propose.
To connect two Mixes, go to the Tamagotchi M!X option under Connect on both Tamagotchis. Select the option that you want the Tamas to do. When the pink connection hearts appear on the screen, make sure the IR ports are aligned, then hit the B button on one of the Tamas. A progress bar will appear. Do not separate the Tamas or let anything get inbetween the IR ports until the progress bar is finished.
The play option will have your Tamas play a game together. The fortune-telling option will send your Tamas to the psychic to have their fortune told. The item exchange option lets you send items from one Tama to another as a gift.
The propose option is only usable when your Tamas are adults. You will need to purchase a ring from Tama Depa. There is a cheap one, and an expensive one. The more you spend on a ring, the more likely your betrothed will be to accept.
Download
The download option will allow your Tama to accept new content from the Mix Stations. Unfortunately, these are only located in Japan, and are not for sale to the public.
PC
This option will let you connect your Tama to a Bandai website for additional online play at http://mix.tamatv.com. You can play a mini game to earn Gotchi points, then the points can be transferred to your Tama via this option. Unfortunately, this will require basic knowledge of hiragana and katakana.
Family
The family option let's your Tama visit their parents, view the family tree, and see a family photo in order from top to bottom.
Out to Town
Out to town let's your Tama leave the house.
Tama Depa
At tama depa, your Tama can purchase wallpapers, items, accessories, and jewelry. You can also visit the Game Center to play games to earn happiness and gotchi points.

The second option is a list of items that you can buy.
The third option is the accessories available for sale that your Tama can wear as an adult.
The last option is where your Tama can buy jewelry. This is where your Tama can get the rings for marriage proposal.
Game Corner
The Game Corner is where your Tama can play games to earn happiness and gotchi points.
The Dance Lesson game involves pressing the corresponding buttons (A or B) when prompted. Your tama will begin dancing on the screen. A thought bubble will pop up showing a direction. Press A for a left arrow, and press B for a right arrow. At first, you will only be prompted to press one button. As the game progresses, it will have you press multiple times.
The Dream Picture Matching game is just a simple matching game. It will start the game by giving you a preview of where the pictures are, then turns them over. The game starts. Press the A button to select which picture you would like to flip over. Press B to turn the picture. You want to turn matching images while avoiding turn over Spacytchi. If you turn over Spacytchi, the game ends. You can also run out of time searching for the matching pictures.

TamaTomo List
This is a list of the Tamagotchi characters that you have met at different locations.
Friends Notebook
This notebook keeps track of the friends your Tama has made, and displays on the left what level their friendship is at. It starts at blue, then as the friendship deepens, it will transition to red. You will receive 300 gotchi points for hitting the lover (orange) and passionate lover (red) milestones. Your tama will at least need a red rating as an adult to have a successful proposal. The characters in the different unlockable locations can be spouses. Travel to those destinations with the ring to propose, then select the propose option. See the list below to see what each color means.
- Blue - Aquaintance
- Green - Friend
- Orange - Lover
- Red - Passionate Lover
If you hit the B button when looking at a friend's profile, it will take you to another menu for options with that particular friend. The first option is to view their family photo. The second
Commemorative Photo
When your Tama becomes friends with others, they will sometimes take a photo together. These photos will be stored in this option. You can delete a photo by pressing B while viewing it, and then selecting the top option (yes). To cancel, select the bottom option (no).
First-Aid kit
Use this option when your Tama becomes sick. You may need to administer medicine multiple times to heal them.
Proposing
There is no matchmaker in the Tamagotchi Mix. There are certain characters in each location (i.e. TamaTown, Melody Forest, Flower Hills, etc.) that can be a spouse to your Tama. You will need to continually visit the location of the character you want your Tama to marry, and raise the relationship between them. If you take the potential spouses favorite item to play with, it will greatly increase the amount of friendship you build with them.
You can check the relationship level in the Friends Notebook. Once you become a passionate lover (red) with the potential spouse as an adult, buy a ring from TamaDepa, then select propose for the location of your character of choice. You will be shown a list of potential spouses at that location. Press A to cycle through the choices. Press B to select the character to propose to. Your proposal may not be accepted the first time. You might need to try a few times if your friendship level isn't high enough.
If the potential spouse accepts, then fireworks go off, and they produce a new Tama egg. The new generation will stay with its parents until it becomes a toddler. You will still need to care for it during the baby stage.
You can also be super lazy like me, and continue visiting the potential spouse after getting the passionate lover level until they propose to you. Then you will get a list of options in this order: Yes, No, Let me think about it. Giving a flat no will mean that character will stop proposing to you. Yes will obviously begin the marriage process. Saying Let me think about it will keep your tama from getting married, but the proposer will continue to ask you when you visit.

You can change the color of your character by eating the foods below at least 5 times. The color will wear off within 24 hours.
- Red - Tomato Juice (Restaurant)

Quickly Earn Money Cheat
A fast way to earn money on the Mix is to use the New Year's Parent's cheat. Set your Tama's clock to anytime during normal waking hours, and set the date to January 1st. Then visit your parents' house. Your tama will get 1000gp from each previous generation. To easily repeat this cheat, go back to the clock change screen, and change the month, and then confirm. You don't even need to leave the settings screen. Immediately go back into the clock change screen, and change the month back to January, then visit your parent's house again. Do this until you are satisfied with your hoarded points!

One card in the group is by itself, and shows Kuromi. Note where this card is, and do not turn it. If you select this card, the game ends. Use the A button to select which card you want to flip, then press B to flip the card. In the last 9 seconds left in the game, you will begin to see a countdown in the upper-right-hand corner of the screen.

Quickly Earn Money Cheat
A fast way to earn money on the Sanrio Mix is to use the New Year's Parent's cheat.

This is still a work in progress, but I wanted to post this to have a project to work from.
As an introduction, this guide is about the Bandai Human Player. Most people are reluctant to purchase this "pet", because it is heavy in Japanese. I have been working on translating the screens and testing gameplay.
When you start up the Human Player, you are to make yourself. You will enter your birthdate, name, current date, and begin the personality quiz. I'm sorry that I do not remember the order of birthdate/name/current date. When I purchase another one, I hope to get more information on this.
To take the personality quiz, visit this website: http://channel.or.jp/human_labo/_mirai/%5D50. The top option is for the Human Player quiz, while the bottom options is for the Mirai Scope quiz. This is the same quiz that will appear on your Human Player. It is a fun way to try it out before you purchase, though.
Answer the questions on your Human Player that would be the most appropriate for you, or whoever you put in later. You can add more people after you enter yourself for the first time. The options are O for yes, X for no, and > for neither. Follow along, and at the end you will see what type of personality you have. Check out the translated list of questions here.
After you have finished the quiz, it will tell you what personality type you have. This will also be noted with a letter. There are 22 different personality types you can get. They are lettered from A to V. You can only have 16 humans on a single Human Player, so if you want to collect all the personalities, you will have to have more than one. There is also a menu option to see what personalities you have collected. More on that later in the guide.

Human
Here you will see a numbered list of all of your registered humans. It will show their name at the top, and which number they are out of how many humans you have. You review your other humans by pressing the left or right arrow buttons.
When you select the human you want, you will see three menu options: Play, Status, and Life.
Play
"Play" is where you can watch what your human is doing. This is where all the cute animations come from. If you hit the O button while viewing your human, a caption will marquee across the bottom of the screen. Sometimes, you will see the same animation, but a different caption. This can completely change the scene. For instance, I sent my human to school. They were sleeping with their head on their desk and the caption said "Asleep". A little later, they were whistling and writing on a piece of paper. The caption said "Test". A little later, my human was back to sleeping on his desk, but the caption still said "Test". He was being naughty and sleeping through his test!
Status
"Status" is where you can see details about your human. The pages in order are ID, Gender, Birth date, Personality type, three screens of characteristics, Stats, and their daily need. The ID page has the katakana code that allows you to send your human to anyone else's Human Player. Gender and birth date are pretty self-explanatory. The Personality type page shows the letter denomination of your characters personality as well as the name. After this, there are three screens of text. Each page represents an separate characteristic about your human. These have been very difficult to translate. Sometimes you can get the general idea of what it is saying, but others might leave you clueless!
Stats
The stats page shows your human's current stats for the day. This is called your human's Biorhythm. In order they are Body, Heart, and Intellect. The values in these can be -10 to +10. When your number is negative, that means it is a sluggish period. Your human will not perform well in that area. When your number is positive, your biorhythm is in a harmonic period. You will perform well in that area.
Advice of the Day
The last page shows the daily advice for your human. This is where you will get a hint on what your human will need to do for the day. Choose wisely, and their stats will improve. Work improves body, rest improves heart, and school improves intellect.
Life
"Life" is where you select what your human should be doing. Did you notice I put should be? There have been times where I have sent them to work or school, and all I will see is an empty chair at a desk. The caption will say "playing hooky". The first option is work, second is school, and third is rest. When you have a human rest, they will do things that you would do in your free time. They might play sports, read a book, go out to eat, etc.
Games
The next section of the top menu is "Game". The game menu has two different games for you to play. These are not like your normal virtual pet games. These are games that your humans play, so you don't really get any say in what happens. What it allows you to do is see what each human's personality causes them to react to different situations.
The first game is called Dokkiri. It is based off of Japanese prank shows much like Candid Camera. Your human will be put into these situations, and you can watch what they decide to do. To give them short names, I will dub them the Turtle, Photo book, Non-Lover, and Cockroach situations.
Turtle Situation
Your human sees someone bullying a turtle right in front of their eyes. They will either walk away, or scream at the person and take the turtle to a safe place.
Photo Book Situtation
Your human will walk past a stack of gravure photo books. They will either stop and look at one, or keep walking.
Non-Love Situation
Your human will be next to a non-lover. In a males case, it is a "beautiful" woman. He will either try to talk to her, or stare off in another direction randomly checking his watch. In a females case, it is a "good man". She will either try to talk to him, or will be turned away talking on a phone.
Cockroach Situation
Your human will look down to see a cockroach on the ground. They will either pick it up, shake it, and toss it away, or they will completely freak out with lightning bolts in the air.
The second game is called "Which person on show?" It shows you two of your humans, and then asks a question. It will ask which is more likely... Then you will see a bar above their heads determining which human is more likely to fulfill the questions criteria. An example question is: しんのやさしさをもってそうなのはどっち (Which is likely to bring a true kindness?). Whoever wins will be seen petting a dog.
Friend
The ID is option is to let you register humans from other Human Players. This lets you register another human without having an in-person IR connection. You can trade humans with other players all around the world.
Connect
The connect option is to let you connect with another Human Player via the IR port. When your Human Players connect, you can select which human you want to interact. You will see an animation of how the humans react to each other. Then if you select the O button, it will allow you to register the other human in your Human Player.
New Human
The next option is the New Human option. This will allow you to create another human in your Human Player. This is the same process as creating your first human, but now you can make your friends, family, or a fictitious person. Take the 50 questions quiz, give them a gender, birthdate, and name, and you have yourself another human!
Reconfigure
The reconfigure option allows you to change the personality of one of your registered humans. It will let you take the 50 question quiz again. It will not allow you to change their name, gender, or birthdate.
Delete Human
The delete human option allows you to select a human to delete. Pretty self-explanatory. You will not be able to recover this human after you have deleted it.
Clear
The clear option allows you to reset your Human Player. This will erase all the information and humans on your system, and lets you start from scratch, so be careful with this one!!
Options
Sound
The first section under "Option" is sound. This will let you turn the sound on or off. The menu option with the music note on it, is to turn the sound on. The other is to turn it off.
Screen Shut Off Time
The screen shut off time allows you to select how long your screen will stay on before it goes to sleep. Your humans will continue to go about their lives after the screen has turned off. This is to preserve battery life.
Clock Set
The last option is the clock set option.. It will allow you to change the time and date on your Human Player.
