The Santaclautch No Tamagotchi (aka Santaclautchi, Santagotchi, Santagotch, Tamagotchi Santa) is a Christmas themed Tamagotchi featuring Kris Kringle. It was released in Japan in November of 1998, and was the last vintage Tamagotchi ever released, as the "modern" era started in 2004. It was never released internationally. It came in three shell colors.
Unlike other Tamagotchi releases, Santa does not evolve. You get different versions of him with the use of items, until you eventually unlock the traditional Santa with his coat, hat, sleigh, and reindeer.

Startup
When you startup your Santaclautch, you will see a bouncing cabin on the screen. Press the B button to go to the time screen. Use the A button to set the hour. Use the B button to set the minutes. Press C when you have entered the correct time.
After a few minutes, Santa will appear.
Status
The status menu will show you information about your Santa. You can see the age, weight, humger, happiness, and Santarashisa or bells. Be sure to watch Santa's weight. He can become very shy if he is too chubby. He can lose weight by playing the game. Technically, Santa's hunger and happiness is how much pie and cake are stored in his lunch box, as he stores food you give him.
Santarashisa
A key element of the Santaclautch is the bells status or "Santarashisa". This roughly translates to "Santaness" or how Santa-like is your Santa? When you use items, you will get different types of Santas. You want to eventually use the items enough to make his hat, coat, sleigh, and reindeer. For instance, let's say your first item is the chisel. You go from the base "Santa" in just a regualr shirt and pants, to the skater Santa by chiseling a skateboard. There are a few Santa types that you cycle through, but as you make his real hat, coat, etc., his bells fill, he becomes more like Santa, and gets closer to delivering presents.
Food
The food menu allows you to feed your Santa. The meal will fill one hungry heart. The snack will fill one happy heart. Santa doesn't automatically eat the food you give him. He stores them in his lunch box, then eats when he chooses. Make sure he has food in his lunch box for when he gets hungry or unhappy.
Game
The game icon will let you play a game with your Santa. This is a simple guessing game, where you will choose which chimney for Santa to jump down. It is completely by chance. There is no trick to it. Santa "wins" when he finds a tama in their bed. He "loses" when he gets covered in soot. Sometimes Santa will find an item rather than a sleeping tama.
Items
When Santa finds an item through playing the chimney game, or through the advent calendar, it gets stored in this item menu. Press the A button to cycle through the available items, and press the B button to use one. Press C to escape. Santa can store more than one of each item. Continuing to use different items helps Santa's Santarashisa meter.
Sometimes you will find Santa acting sad, and facing away from the screen. Select this menu option to give Santa a fan letter and cheer him up.
Super Kuchipatchi
Sometimes, Santa will get shy, and not feel like being Santa. He will disappear from the screen. Use this menu option to summon Super Kuchipatchi to drag him back.
Advent Calendar
Every day, you can open the day's advent calendar slot, and receive an item.
Tamagotchi Monitor
This shows a tama waiting for his presents. Santa needs to deliver presents in time. The Christmas tree progresses as the date gets closer. This isn't actually tied to the date you set.
Attention
When your Santaclautch needs something, it will call for you, and this icon will light up.
Delivering Presents
The end game is when Santa becomes a complete Santa with a full bells meter in time for Christmas. Christmas isn't actually tied to the date you set on your clock. It is a certain amount of days that have passed. If you do not prepare Santa in time to deliver presents on Christmas, the Tamagotchi monitor will show a tama knocking the tree over. You can continue to play even after delivering presents. If you deliver presents in time, you will see an animation of Santa flying through the sky on his sleigh.
